The Adventures of Ethan!
Tuckered out.
Yes, he did this all by himself. He's over balls and into anything with wheels now.
He will often climb here while I'm cooking.
Don't worry, it's dry erase marker. Such a little artist. :)
Mommy/Ethan date! I said "Ethan, you wanna get ice cream and go to the beach?" Ethan responds "Yes! Dada, bye bye" and runs to the front door.
I wanted to thank you all for the comments on the last post. This week has been a lot better. I haven't been able to exercise, first Ethan was sick and then me. But I did make an effort to read/pray more and get out, whether it be a walk with Ethan or an hour date with my sweetheart. On Saturday night Jon and I went to Rocket Ship Park. It's just above our place, on top of a huge hill. It has a huge old metal rocket ship for kids to climb in and amazing views of all of LA. We climbed to the top and had sparkling cider and fresh strawberries while we talked about our exciting future together. :) Sure do love my man.

Ugh-a-lug
That's one big UGH. That's what I've been feeling lately. Depressed. In fact one night, while in bed I turned to Jon and told him I might want to talk to a counselor. I hate that a large percentage of my thoughts are "I wish I wasn't here," "I want out," "I'm done," and "I give up." Almost nightly I end up locking myself in the bedroom after unsuccessfully trying to console a fussy baby. My patience is extremely thin and I end up snapping at my husband and toddler.
As I try to find the source of my frustration it's easy to blame it on the other adult in the house and think that it's his sport game watching and video game playing are to blame. But honestly, it's me. I need an overhaul emotionally and spiritually. Tips?
One a lighter note, my New Year's resolution this year was to save money.... and I'm rockin' it! Here are the ways I've recently made changes to our spending:
1. Couponing! I save at least 50% each time I go to the grocery store, which means I buy twice as much food as I used to. We're actually having to find creative places to store all our food.
2. Amazon.com diapers and wipes. With deals cheaper than Costco on brand name items and free two-day shipping.
3. Homemade laundry soap. It only cost me $10 to make 2 5-gal buckets of laundry soap.

I know, I know, it's been forever
Between Christmas and now not too much has happened. Well, compared to the crazy familiness of the holidays. We did go to Disney with Aunt Ranee for two days, which was SUPER fun. Jon joined us for the second day. It was nice because we did almost all Ethan-friendly attractions and the park was pretty empty. It was rare when we had to wait for a ride.
In other news, Corryn is growing like a weed. She's now 4 and 1/2 months old and eating rice cereal once a day. She can play with her feet and reach for hanging toys. She's also talking lots and giggling. Ethan has turned 18 months this month and is now in NURSERY! We made it. Down side is that there isn't a full set of nursery workers and so Jon and I are in there most Sundays... bleh. I shouldn't murmur though...
Here pictures from this month!
Yeah, it's upside down. But by now I have a screaming baby to attend to so just deal. ;)
